(pronouns: she/her)

As a foster youth alumnus and survivor of sexual trauma, I had to choose between continuing the harmful coping and patterns that were negatively impacting my well-being or breaking free from the generational cycle of trauma that I found myself living. I chose the latter and believe my life experiences can provide resonance, a helpful tool in providing empathy which is important for every journey towards healing. My passion is working with people of color and trauma survivors to break cycles of transgenerational trauma to create new paths, traditions, and coping strategies for a healthy well-being. Understanding that therapy does not have a one-size-fits-all approach, I am adaptive to each client’s needs and goals. My approach is of a strength-based nature using mindfulness and relational therapy techniques, interwoven with threads of narrative therapy.
