So I hear you’re looking for a therapist …
If you’re hoping to
nurture your relationship with yourself (any and all of the parts of you) and the people and world around you
be witnessed in the complexity of your experience: the pain, sadness, joy, anger, excitement, shame – it’s all welcome
learn how to understand the wisdom in your embodied experience, emotions, reactions, and desires
lean into compassion for and curiosity about yourself
talk about how your socio-cultural environment impacts you
practice the act of caring for yourself in a myriad of ways that extend beyond traditional ideas of “self-care”
identify your wants and needs and how to reach for them
then I hope you reach out to connect over a zoom call for a free 20 minute consultation.
A bit about me, I’m a Filipino American woman from (a bit outside of) St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up in the Midwest, where I did not always feel I belonged, made what I deeply care about very clear to me: fierce love for people and social justice, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, anti-transphobia, de-colonization, community, authenticity, self-expression, compassion, and mental and emotional health. These values are a big part of who I am and what I bring into the therapy space.
Having been trained in Relational Gestalt therapy, I’m curious about the many facets of yourself, the world around you, and how these dimensions relate to one another. I’ve experienced therapy to be so powerful and special because we create a space together in which you can feel safe enough to be as you are, sit with the ways you’ve protected yourself from pain and hurt, turn toward that pain and let it be felt (at a gentle and emotionally safe pace), and give those protections permission to not have to work so hard all the time.
I also like to think I’m kind of funny, so if you’re open to some silliness and co-creating a therapeutic space to process and heal, please send me an email or text, and let’s see how we connect!
I’m available to meet in person or through Zoom.
